• 1978- 1985 High School in Linz (2.BG Khevenhüllerstraße)
• June 1985 Matura
• October 1985 - May 1986 8 months obligatory civil service (Zivildienst)
• 1986 - 1992 studied "Technische Physik"
• June 1992 Graduation as a "Diplom-Ingenieur" with a diploma thesis on Kinetic Boundary layers around a Cylinder and effective hydrodynamical Boundary conditions
• 1988 - 1996 studied "Lehramt Physik-Mathematik"
• June 1996 Graduation as a "Mag.rer.nat" with a diploma thesis on Description of a gas on three different Niveaus
• 1992 - 1997 studied "Doktorrat der techn. Wissenschaften"
• November 1997 Promotion as a "Dr.techn." with a Ph.D. thesis on Linear and Nonlinear Descriptions of Transport Processes in Gases on the Kinetic Level
