Wilhelm Macke war Gründungsprofessor der Linzer Physik. Aus seinem Nachlass wurde diese Stiftung gegründet. Sie fördert hervorragende PhysikstudentInnen durch Mobilitäts-Stipendien und Preise.

Die Stipendien dienen zur (Teil-)Finanzierung von Forschung bzw. Weiterbildung im Ausland; die Preise honorieren herausragende Leistungen im Studium. (mehr dazu im Stiftungszweck)


Wilhelm Macke was founding professor of physics in Linz. From his estate, this foundation was established. It supports outstanding physics students with mobility scholarships and prizes.

The scholarships serve to (partially) finance research or further education abroad; the prizes reward outstanding achievements in studies. (more on this in the purpose of the foundation)
